Drone Wars – UPDATE: Increasing Awareness Across America
If you read my last article, I had mentioned the protests that were going to take place across America this weekend. The protests were against drones overseas, and here in America. Below are videos that were found from YouTube on the activities that took place this weekend.
Anti-Drone Campaign in New York City
Protesters speak at the rally, condemning attacks that they say are killing innocent civilians, including children in Pakistan. One protester said that if the U.S. would quit using the irrational mentality that they can bomb people into liking America, then they could work more towards creating world peace, by changing negative attitudes toward the U.S.
Grannies Against The War Are Maced At The Aerospace Museum in Washington D.C.
Check out this video where elderly women and others are sprayed with a chemical. It has assumed to be pepper spray, but this chemical seems much more lethal than that.
Also note that the date of this video is October 2011. If this protest occurred today, there would probably be a much more violent confrontation with police.
Col. James Hecker, Indicted by NDE Sacred Peace Walk
A protest took place at Creech AFB where 5 men and 3 women were arrested. They were accusing Col. James Hecker, and his crew stationed at the Air Force Base (AFB) that they have violated international law by committing attacks on a sovereign country. Part of the protest consisted of a mock attack by an armed drone, where participants fell to the ground and feigned death. It was at this point that the arrests occurred by military security.
What Is The Reaction From Congress?
This is a very compelling video of a woman who was escorted out of the Senate Intelligence Committee, while shouting at speaker Sen. Diane Feinstein(D), during a hearing that was being held to elect John Brennan, the nations CIA Director.
This woman was shouting how foreign policy concerning the use of drones are killing innocent children, and there is so much secrecy, that no one can even have any say in this, what she calls immoral act of humanity.
If I had a crystal ball I could tell you, but one thing is for certain, and that is that the American people are realizing that they should question their leaders as to what their moral intentions are. The drone fears are extending into people’s thinking and they are asking if drone surveillance, and possibly drone air strikes, could occur here in the U.S.
